I just got my M1530 a couple of weeks ago and i love it, first dell i have owned. I have a custom built desktop that i use for development and gaming and i recently bought a Dell SC440 server that i will use for running a few virtual servers and as a media server.
I also have a work laptop that belongs to the company of course, but i was just wondering how many machines other people have?
    Is my setup overkill :D

In my household (4 people) we have 7 laptops. 2 older but rarely used Sony subnotebooks, 2 thinkpad 570e's (one's dead), one thinkpad t20, my inspiron 6400 and my sister's vostro 1500. Soon there will also be an xps m1530. That would bring the count up to 8.... no desktops though lol.

EDIT: OH wait, i forgot my old and dead satellite m40, that means we have 8 now, soon to be 9 lol

6 out of 8 are still working and we don't use those 2 viao subnotebooks...

I have one and then there is a Dell desktop for the family. I usually have a few machines, but I am content with just the one right now. It kind of makes life easier. Though it is hard to test things when you have to be careful not to break your only computer.

I have got more than 10 laptops! 2 for my son (Gateway & Crappy Asus Z63a), 2 for my daugter (MacBook Pro & Acer Aspire 15"), 1 for my wife Compaq X1000) and 6 for myself (XPS 1210, 1330, Acer Aspire 14" broken display hinges all in use, IBM A21m, Hitachi 286 16MB RAM and Dell Latitude CPi400? They are in my garage, Dell D400 in my nephew's hand, so this one does not count).

Edit: forgotten my Sharp 12" 386 laptop 64MB RAM 6.4GB HDD with broken screen lying in my house somewhere!

I will probably buy the MSI Wind as well.

    Snap!

I have one pretty decent 3 year old desktop, for games and listening to music/ watching films (pretty awesome soundsystem).

And I am a proud new owner of a dell XPS m1530, which I plan to use for work and movies on the go.

    What else do you need?

excluding the ones used by my family, i have ones listed in sig plus XPS M1330. imo anything more than 2-3 is bit excessive. i don't like keeping old machines around so i just sell them on ebay when i don't use them. i plan on selling all my notebook later this year and replacing it with just 2 notebooks.
