    Welcome everybody ! I'm going to buy the Dell XPS M1530 !
    I'd like to get to know your opinion about the Dell XPS M1530...
    I have about 1400-1500$, and I wont good choice...

    I have any questions...

    1.How about quality screen ?
    2. Does the Dell XPS M1530 is quiet ?
    3. HOW ABOUT QUALITY BUILD
    HOW ABOUT CD WRITER ?
    HOW ABOUT CAMERA ?


    IS THERE GOOD CHOICE ?

    Screen quality is excellent, even if there is no LED backlit display option. They will use LG glossy or Samsung Matte Screen, which is one of the best quality brands in the world (not that it is only the brand name that's good, if you read reviews about them they are, good and plus I have one in my laptop)

    It is quiet, but It'll get quite hot during gaming and doing other stuff.

    More then average, I would say. It is very solid and nice feel, except there is this "waste of space" feel that you have from oversized 1330

    I have no Idea on this. I mean,I used my friend's but I didn't get to use CD writer, I guess it will be average or better

    Camera, now, It is better then average quality, but it is only average in terms of live face to face chat and stuff due to poor refresh rate.

    screen is acceptable...significant light leakage and unever backlighting...only notcabe duri movies tho..


    gets quite hot but i like that nice hot feeling on my lap lol...makes me feel like my notebook is alive lol...


    DVD and HDD can be loud on the rare occassion

    People write in others forums, that Dell has grainy scren. Is it true ?

    they do but that mainly applies to the garbage inspiron notebooks lol

    Where do some of you get your information? I am refering to your comment "they will use LG glossy"
    I have 2 M1530's one tuxedo blk and one alpine white,neither one has an LG LCD Panel. THe white one has a very grainy look,LCD was Samsung the black one has a CPT Manufactured panel which is pretty similar in appearance to the LG panel I had in a Recent HP DV6000t. Needless to say,I have made arrangements to exchange the Alpine White M1530 for another new one,hopefully it will have a better display.

    I just came back from Bestbuy and Staples... in both stores with over 40 diffrent laptops only two had Resolution over the 900X 1400, and 2 are 1050X1650 ... everything else was 800X1200 ... the once with high Resolutions were 17" only ...
    I saw the XPS 1530 Screen when I got my first one.. it was very good. especially that I saw what out there. But since I returned my laptop for other reason I went ahead and got the higher resolution..

    I have no Idea what brands thise screens are!!
    I liked the computer it's good for the price.. GET IT You will love it,,,,,
