I'm just curious. I just bought a new XPS 15 and I really want to know if I paid too much or got a good deal. What do you guys think is a good price for the following specs? And, if someone has a laptop with these specs or something very close, and doesn't mind, what did you pay? I will post how much I paid after some posts and not right here because I don't want to sway the price in any direction.
Thanks for any input![]()

I would pay $1,900 for that? Considering it has Blu-ray thingy?
-
I configured one like that when it was first intro'ed for a little over $1300 with a coupon, so less than $1300 considering it isn't new from the factory.

I have the exact same specs, but with the 256GB Solid State Drive (per Dell adds $510 + tax) and the Intel© Centrino© Advanced-N 6200 (add $30 + tax). At the end of the day, it set me back $2,063.10 (price+tax+shipping).
Doing the math, I would have paid $1490 total for the system you listed.
I bought when they had what I think were the lowest prices in recent history, right around Thanksgiving.

£10. I am skint.

Thanks for the replies. I paid about $1380 before shipping/tax. I guess that's an ok deal. I'm pretty happy with the purchase. Only thing I don't like is the fan is almost always on and I can hear it, but very good laptop otherwise.

i got a very similar one for $1,324.99 before tax... mine was with 6GB RAM instead of 8 though... i'm pretty sure that's the only difference we have... so yours is about right
How much would you pay?
