Hello,
How the integrated Intel HD graphics in sandy bridge work, if we have a discrete Nvidia card in the XPS 17 L702X?
Will be two graphics devices in the device manager?
Can anybody clarify on this new feature please, and how is it going to be used?
Thanks

Optimus has been out for a little while now, this isn't something specific to the LX02x line of laptops. Basically, you run off of the intel integrated graphics untill you use a program that requires more gpu intensive tasks, like a game or photoshop with big files. The computer automatically switches from one to the other. You may see both in the device manager, but cpu-z didn't detect my nvidia gpu until I started playing a game and the nvidia card took over the graphics part. Read the Official L701x thread for more information on this and everything else about the LX02x laptops.

The Optimus feature is disabled in the L702X....
i am confused is that mean the integrated Intel HD graphics in sandy bridge is useless?

It's disabled only if you choose to install the 3D fullhd panel...
