My XPS 15 just shipped and i want to be prepared for when it comes.

I plan to reformat it to a clean install of windows, what is the easiest way to do this?
Does it come with a recovery partition?
Is the recovery partition just the same as the oem stock image?
If impossible do I need to order a recovery disk and use that to get it get a clean install?
Is it possible to make an new recovery disk with the latest drivers/windows hotfixes?

its pretty easy, just call up dell that you need a reinstallation OS disc or chat with them online, they send me all the discs i needed even the OS reinstallation disc with overnight shipping, i used the disc to do a fresh install, just pop it in and press F12 when you reboot your dell and click on boot from disc. The rest is easy. After that install use the Drivers and Utilities dvd disc that dell sends you and re-install the drivers that you need, in order.

    1) The easiest way is downloading an ISO of Windows 7 or having a Dell disc.
    2) Yes
    3) No the recovery partition will it back to factory settings with all original software.
    4) It depends on which recovery discs you are talking about. Dell will just ship you branded Windows 7 discs and the drivers/applications discs but it will not reinstall the recovery partition. You can make factory recovery discs when you setup Windows fully.
    5) Yes with nLite and an ISO of Windows 7 + the drivers you want.
