    I was messing around on my friends M1730 (I want one now!) and I was tweking with some setting in I8kfanGUI, I found if you Set the fans to high. then go into options, and change the Fan Bios index for 0, 1 to 1, 2. then click manual, then click "Force Fans to High" fan 0 stayed on before, and the other 2 are on high now. Sorry for bad grammer...
