Hi guys iv noticed that theres a lot of people wanting to upgrade their ram in their m1730 and wasnt too sure how so im posting a quick easy guide on how to locate it and install it.

Step 1: turn your laptop upside down onto a soft clean surface so you dont mark the topside of your laptop.

Step 2: remove the battery then unscrew the cover in the centre of the laptop and remove it.

Step 3: You will now see your memory modules. There is a clip on each side of the models, push the left one to the left and the right one to the right. The module should pop up slightly, if not just ease it up. Pull the module out of the slot. To insert a new module line the slot layout up to the pin layout then make sure it is pushed into the slot till you can hardly see the gold pins. Now push the module down to clip it back in place. There is another module below the first one, just repeat the process to change this one. Once both modules are in and seated properly you can screw the cover back on and fit your battery.
