Hi guys,
I just did a clean install of win7. When asked on which partition I wanted it I also deleted the recovery partion thinking it would just be reallocated to the one I was installing win7. Now win7 is all installed but I have a unallocated 15 gb and I have no idea how to get this space back. Any suggstion?

windows 7 has a disk management utility that may be able to extend your current partition to the un-allocated space. Probably the easiest method. A harder method you can use boot cd's like gparted to resize but is more difficult for the avg user.
when i type in disk management in the start menu it pops up as "create and format harddisk partitions. Thats the utility that may be able to extend it for you -
Well I can get to the disk manager but I do not get the option to extend the main partion, only a shrink option. As for the unallocated portion, i just get the option "new simple volume" that's all.

... or you can download Partition Wizard 4.2. It's free and it works...

What I use is Acronis Disk Director. Does stuff the Windows app can't for some reason.
