Hey guys
I have a 1530 and am trying to install Windows 7![]()
I'm trying to create a new partition on my hard drive, but for some reason I cant.
I am using Paragon Partition Manager.
Can someone please help me, or suggest a different program.

Just upgrade your current installation. If you really want to install on new partition, just use Windows Vista's built in "Disk Management Tool" that allows you to shrink and create new partitions.

Use "Acronis Disk Director Suite" .
It is very easy and best for XPS1530 .
Try it . . .
Have fun. -
I think I get your problem. You only get 4 partitions, so you'll have to dump one of the factory installed as Dell uses all 4 for recovery and whatnot. Backup your recovery drive, delete the partition, and go from there.

i am also interested in doing this, but i would much prefer to dual boot with Vista instead of upgrading.
