    How to run 30' Monitor on l501x

    To run the external monitor at 2560x1600 would I need to get the mini display to dual link dvi adapter since the model itself does not have a dvi out?

    Yes...

    Needs to be to the dual-link DVI or displayport monitor input in order for it to work at that resolution...

    Would recommend a direct cable that goes from MDP to DL-DVI... Better than using an adapter plus cable...
