So dell didn't upgrade my screen when they replaced my lid today and still interested in buy a LED WXGA for my lappy

So I found a couple screens for the 1340 on Ebay but ... not sure on a couple of things:

I have a Arctic White Lid with a 2MP webcam and ccfl screen, is the current led screen or the one in the m1330 is compatible with my lid ?

How the hell would I separate the lid from the screen ?

Could someone tell me what types of tools I would need to replace the screen

I read that when you swap the screens that you would need different cables for the LED setup ... could someone point me to the right direction so I can purchase them

Lets say my lid is not compatible for a LED screen, where can I find one that is

Through this whole process I would like to make a guide about replacing screens for the SXPS1340, so any input to this thread would help alot

Not sure about your model but on the M1330 I had to replace the lid, bezel and camera along with the LED screen. The lid came from Dell Parts and had all the cables with it.

Yeah I read that you can't use a LED screen in a CCFL lid ... but why ? if I had to guess, because of the webcam ?

I hope it isn't like that with the SXPS

The led screen/lid is thinner than the CCFL screen/lid, that is why you cant mix and match.
