M1530 arrived the other day. Loving it so far but I just want to know if there's a way to tell if I did in fact get the LED screen I ordered. Is there some sign on the exterior of the computer or found somewhere in the hard drive? Thanks.

I've never used vista, but it's something like you go into Personalize, then Graphics, then hardware, then Advanced, then Driver, and then you can check the part number you have
I completely forgot but if your part number starts with CP something then its LED.
I dunno someone else will probably give you a better answer. -
check the camera. if it is vga then u got the led screen or u could go into device manager and check it.

not true dude
I got the 1440x900 LED Screen and it comes with a 2.0 MP camera...at least thats what it says on the order receipt... -
Ya. My order receipt also says LED with 2.0 MP camera.

I think I was reading a review about the 1530 and they said the LED screen only came with a VGA camera but I think it was an older review. Their website and my build sheet definitely says 2MP. Hopefully that review was wrong or the camera on the LED has since been replaced by a 2MP.

You're confusing the 1530 with 1330. The 1330 LED screen comes with a VGA camera.

go to control panel, then device manager, then click on monitors and click on generic pnp monitor. When you get there click on details and hardware id and it should say MONITOR\CMO1555

paper_wastage Beat this 7x7x7 Cube
m1530...see a817's method
and turn the brightness all the way up... its superbright compared to other non-LED laptops u've ever seen
How to tell I have the LED screen.
