I currently have a sony vaio with the gt 640m le but I just can't take these speakers -- they literally make my ears hurt (lol).

But I'm looking into a dell maybe the xps 14 and I was very pleased with the 640m le. How does the 630m stack up?

GT 640M LE is kepler, it's much more powerful than the 630M.
    GT 630M is just a re-branded GT 540M.

Thanks. Would I still be gaming with starcraft 2, crysis, etc all on medium high settings with decent framerate?

The 630m actually out-paced the 640m le in some of these tests
