Hi, redflagdeals.com has the biggest discount I have seen on a 1330. Essentially your starting price on the machine is $800 and you build from there. Here is the thread: http://www1.ca.dell.com/content/top...s=cadhs1&l=en&s=dhs&dgc=AF&cid=3881&lid=77903. Quantities are limited so if you are interested, act fast. I am so envious, sigh... I just have to keep reminding myself that I got a reasonable deal myself so I have to be grateful for what I have, lol :D.

Wow! That is a fabulous deal!!! I was looking at the normal Dell Canada and was wondering why there is no worthwhile discount for the 1330--now I know why XD. For those people with airmiles accounts they should login to airmileshops.ca and use that site to enter Dell.ca; they have other promo schemes here too involving a "free gift" of that flip videocorder thing and $-70 coupon towards the student edition of Microsoft Productivity Suite [on some systems, it's included]... It's actually not too bad a deal--considering the preset config. However, once you upgrade to higher end stuff like a screen, more ram, the price gets kinda bloated IMO. Another note: you might earn more Airmiles than usual depending on credit card [mine is a BMO "bronze level no annual fee"--1 Airmile per $20 spent.

I'm really torn between getting the 13" model and the 15" model.... I'm student and a casual gamer at best, but part of my studies is geared for content/multimedia creation like 3D art/rendering; photography; video that sort of thing. Should I get the wonderful light machine, or the powerful one?

The number 1 thing I'm looking for in both systems is the LED screen and 4Gig RAM. Here's the 15" config [w/LED screen! extra $200] and the accessories I ordered:

    XPS M1530
    Intel® Core™ 2 Duo Processor T8300 (2.4GHz/800Mhz FSB, 3MB Cache), Genuine Windows® Vista Home Premium Edition SP1
