SXPS 1645 as seen in my signature. I used to be able to adjust the backlight brightness with Fn-Up and Fn-Down, but that no longer works, and I can't even adjust it in the power settings by moving the slider. I can move the slider but the brightness remains at 100%. Any idea what might be the problem? Related to a custom power profile?

I am fairly certain you will have to call Dell and have a tech come out and replace the monitor. I recall several people with this issue and they all had to have the monitor replaced to remedy the problem.

Make sure they replace it with another RGBLED 1080p screen! If they want to replace with anything less Dell owes you compensation.

Had the same problem and they had to send a tech out to change out the screen. Worked great after that.

Thank you for the responses. If I call and they say they need to come out and replace the LCD, do you think there's any chance they'd let me keep the old, "broken" one?

Unless you're paying for that replacement, there's no way they'll let you keep it.
