I wasn't looking for anything for gaming. I don't really do any of that, but this thing will be perfect for what I need. I had $280 in dell dollars/gift certificates and I decided to go with this system. Its small, which I like, it is powerful (2.4GHz processor, 4GB RAM, and 7200rpm drive), and it is stylish.

Does anyone else have one? I ordered it about ten minutes ago...paying $28 per month for it. Can't wait to get it and reformat! I'm pretty excited.

If anyone else has it, I've read you can put it in a power-lite mode that conserves battery life. I'm wondering how hot the thing gets when it is being used normally and when it is being used in the power-lite mode or whatever My current Dell laptop (E1705 from 2 years ago) gets really hot and the paint on the bottom chipped off.

Anyway, here are the specs for anyone interested:
    Processor: Intel® Core™ 2 Duo P8600 (3MB cache/2.4GHz/1066Mhz FSB)

Operating System: Genuine Windows Vista® Home Premium Edition SP1, 64-bit

Color: Obsidian Black with Leather Accent

Display: Edge-to-Edge 13.3" HD WXGA LCD with 2.0 Megapixel Camera

RAM: 4GB Dual Channel DDR3 SDRAM at 1067MHz (2 Dimms)

Hard Drive: 320GB 7200 RPM SATA Hard Drive

    Optical Drive: Slot Load DVD+/-RW (DVD/CD read/write)

    Graphics Controller: NVIDIA® GeForce® 9400M G

Wireless Card: Dell Wireless 1515 802.11n Half Mini-Card

    Audio: High Definition Audio 2.0

Battery: 56 WHr 6-cell Lithium Ion Primary Battery

On the DPA financing...did you go for the 12 months interest free promo??
That is helpful...if you intend to get it paid off w/in 12 months! ;)

    What is your ESD? :D

    Cin ;) :)

I bought one last week from BestBuy and I'm loving it! I run it on Power Save mode most of the time which really helps with the heating problem. I did format it and installed Vista Business 64-bit. You'll love it!

From what I understand it just means that the system uses much less power. Its actually more of a good thing when you opt for the SLI graphics card configuration (which is the integrated card I bought SLI'd with a dedicated card). It basically shuts down the dedicated card when you don't need it.

From the reviews I've managed to find (there is surprisingly not that many out there...and VERY few that aren't out-of-date), I may need to find a third-party program to control the fan because it takes awhile temperature-wise to kick in. The e1705 I have now used to get super hot and I started using a program to control the fans and keep them on all the time. It keeps the temps down when the system isn't stressed.

I should note that this system is pretty much the bare-bones version on the site. Mainly because I can always upgrade the HDD and the RAM later on for MUCH less than Dell would have charged me.

Anyway, as for the financing...yeah, I went with the 12 months no interest. I should probably have it paid off in less than a year. The minimum payments are going to be ~$30, but I'll probably pay about $75 a month as often as I can. I've been saving money, too, so I'll probably make a big payment the first time.
I'm not sure what ESD is, sorry. :/

The Est. delivery date is 3/16, so I would guess the shipping date (I chose the free 3-5 day shipping) would be about the 12th
