    I have my XPS L502X with windows 7 ultimate key,can i use this key to install windows 7 ultimate with sp1 slipstreamed?.will windows be activated?

    Yes shouldn't be a problem. It *may* whinge about already being activated, in that case just ring the activation line and they should sort it out.

    The key on the bottom of your laptop has never been activated. A Dell install of Windows 7 uses a generic OEM key. If you copy the sources/$OEM$ folder from the Dell install DVD to new media then you will make an updated Dell Win7 DVD that will auto activate on any recent Dell machine.

    So,can i use the key under my laptop to activate windows 7 ultimate on another machine?.if i did not use it before?.

    That a touchy subject and I don't want to go there. Lets just say your machine came with a license and that machine needs to have a valid license in order to run windows.
