I extended my warranty for my m1530 last year for $98 which I thought was very reasonable. Previously you could purchase your warranty extension online, but it seems now you have to request a quote. I received an e-mail offering to extend my warranty for a whopping $190, about twice what I paid last year. Granted this system is two years old I would of expected the price of the extension to be about the same. Anyone know why the cost spiked?

That's quite nasty from Dell. Maybe you should give them a call, explain the situation and let them see what they can do for you with the price ;)

The best offer I have received so far is 10% off, which helps but it is not great. I'm a self-supporting college student and $171 is quite a bit for me. I'm on the fence on this one....

Manny, don't give up on that area of the site.

It appears that it's *down for maintenance* right now.

You can always try another rep for a quote. They will want your business.

My brother always *walks away* from the first quote or 2, and will always get a good deal in the end. ;) Tell them that you cannot justify paying that much, and that you will think it over *and get back to them* :) See, if they come around!
