Does anyone know where I can check an SXPS 16 out before I actually buy one? I have checked at my local Best Buy, Office Max but noone has it.

I saw an sxps at a microcenter near me. I'm not sure if that store is a chain or not though. It's one of those places that caters to people who build their own pc's. Haven't seen it at best buy, fry's, or staples though.

hmmmm that kinda sucks. theres no microcenter near me so I don't know about that. I was trying to find a Dell Store near me but they're only in like 5 or 6 states.

Did the Bestbuy at least have the SXPS 13? Even a Microsoft commercial displayed one of these at a Bestbuy (though without the battery installed) for their advertising campaign. Though obviously not identical, it should atleast give you an idea of the general design/features of the SXPS 16.

Come on over, and I'll show you mine.

    Wait, that came out wrong.

You'll just have to take the leap of faith. You can see the SXPS13 at Best Buy (go to a couple, you will run into it). I was sold when I saw it (it was down to that and the HP HDX16). The build quality is just so much better.

I was down to the HDX16 and the XPS16 and I took the "leap of faith" on the HDX. I'm on my second one now after sending the first back for problems with the touchpad, however this one has the same problem (actually I think they all do but apparently not enough people have complained about it so HP has no idea how to fix it). Now I'm leaning towards the XPS16. I know I won't be able to see all the quirks and potential problems until I actually get one in my home but I would still like to at least see it. I guess I'll have to drive a little farther to some more places and check around.

the staples is about 30 mins away from me so I haven't yet but it's gonna be included in my expanded search. Sam's Club has one on there website so I'm thinking they might have one on display. There's one of those right down the street from where I live. I just have to find someone with a membership so I can get in and look.

Ok, cool...I would like to find out if Staples does have one! :)

Oh and, Sam's Club..you should be able to go in there w/out a membership to just look...(if you stop at the Service Counter, they will give you a Visitor Pass type thingy)..

It's just if you decide to purchase something, that you will need the membership!

I called Sam's Club and Staples in my area and neither one of them have one on display. Sam's Club did however have one on their website.

    No they didn't.

On a side note: I just found out that posts have to be at least 10 characters. I tried to just write "Nope", but it wouldn't let me. Weird lol.
