I’m about to buy a Dell Studio 15 with the following configuration:
    Core2Duo T9550
    ATI Radeon HD 4570 256Mb
And my doubts are respect to the HD, I think 250 GB are enough, but I’d like to know if the performance with 7200rpm is much better than 5400rpm. The other issue is the RAM; I think I’m going to use Windows Vista, and I don’t know if 2, 3 or 4 GB.
I will use it primary for office suites, internet, and occasionally some game (shooter or strategy) beside that, performance is the most important aspect.
I’d like to hear general impressions about the Studio 15, particular impressions about this configuration and any kind of recommendation.
    Thank you

Go with the 320gb (Better to have too much than to little), and 4gb (I am assuming you are getting 64bit). Also, go with the 512mb ATI card. If you are planning ahead for future, don't skimp on the goods. Getting a superfast processor is great, but not necessary for your needs. I personally think you don't need that processor, lower it to the P8600, save $175 and get the 900p monitor... the 720p sucks, and the 1080p is really small icons/text/etc.

The 5400 vs 7200 debate is still ongoing, I wouldn't pay for the 7200 if it were more, but again, it depends on what you are going to use it for.

Oh, and pick up an Intel WIFI card, and round it out with the Centrino 2 package.

poison7fl is right, get the 4570 with the 512MB since the Studio 15 uses GDDR3 compared to other laptops with the same card but with a slower DDR2. The difference probably between a 7200 and a 5400 rpm would be seconds in boot and access time. It's not really significant unless you'll opt for an SSD.
