So the graphics card can borrow unused memory from the RAM to increase it's performance?

whats all this about the bad build quality of the m1330? I thought it had a good build to it? ( I don't own one btw, but I'm looking to buy one)

Do you guys know when a new redesign might come out btw? I'm not expecting anytime soon but I'm just wondering

This has been a design homerun for Dell... from how they are reacting an unintentional one as well... a redesign will be a LoNG time coming... they will milk this one to the max..

And as they should. It's gorgeous! Hell, I returned my 1420 just so I could buy this M1330, for more money and a not-as-good processor.

Want to test your theory? Let's run a 3DMark06 with your XPS and my SZ6... I wonder what the difference will be, since the 8400M GS core is so weak to begin with. Let's see that 64MB of DDR3 make a huge difference. Please, if you have no idea what you're talking about, just stop.

So the extra dedicated memory does make a difference. All the more reason, I guess, to purchase the XPS M1330! :p
