    Hi dudes

I might sound as a noob (but I'm not ;)).

    Let me sketch the situation
    Desktop resolution: 1920x1080
Game resolution (GTA IV here): 1600x900

After quiting GTA, my icons are all misplaced and messed up.
I've googled a lot to find a solution but I can't find anything usefull.

Is their an easy way to make sure that the icons remain on their place even when I play a game on a lower resolution?

    Thanks!

    Koetje

Did you return the screen to its native resolution after quitting the game?

Yeah, when I return to my desktop, the resolution is still 1920x1080, but my icons are organised like the resolution is 1600x900.

    Let me demonstrate

    After

    Desktop resoltion (before and after)

I don't touch the settings of my desktop resolution (they are still 1920x1080)

I don't think there's something you can do, I've always had that problem when playing games at different resolution, now I don't put icons on my desktop anymore

I gave it a try, but It doesn't work.
I save my layout, move some icons, but when I restore it, they move to the right location, but directly after that, they move back to the previous location.

Try rebooting, sometimes things like registry tweaks don't work properly until you do that.

I was just thinking of something.
Maybe it has to do something with the nvidia configuration?
Maybe I should change some settings over there?
