    Hi guys
My screen on my XPS1330 just went BUST at the WORST POSSIBLE time (University), My warranty is out and I cannot afford a new screen right now so i thought of something.
I have a broken Dell inspiron that has a perfectly Good screen- IS THERE ANYWAY to connect that screen to my XPS as an external monitor or just complety it replace it with the latter. I know It wont fit in the screen socket of the XPS1330 but even if it dangles out I wont mind- Im very desperate at this point.

    Thanx guys

Since it's apparently just a screen problem, you could just use an external monitor as your backup. You can always replace the screen later when you have the money, since I'm not sure whether you can replace a XPS screen with an Inspiron screen.

    What model is the Inspiron?

Check ebay. You should be able to find a reasonable priced screen to fix yours.

If you cannot swap screens then maybe the best bet would be to take your laptop to a friends house who has an external monitor(tv with vga, hdmi, or desktop computer) and transfer all the files you will be using to a flash drive. Then use the university computers until you can get a replacement screen. Some people have been able to extend there warranty even though it has been expired for some time. You may want to look into that as well when you have more funds.
