I have recently purchased SC2 for me and my brother. my computer runs it on ultra with my G73 but his is sluggish on the lowest settings.

he has a dell XPS M1530 notebook with an Intel Core2Duo T6600, 2GB Ram and an NVIDIA GeForce 8600M GT. Which of these is causing the biggest problem? I know i could get more ram but if its the processor or card can i even get an upgrade for this particular notebook?

***EDIT*** Just found out he never updated his drivers ever so everythings good now

    Hey Steve,

Just wondering how did you fix this? I had a M1530 with the graphic card updated but I still experience the periodic lag and it's pretty much unplay-able when going online. Any help would be great.

    Thank you.

Fixed my problem by having warranty still. Had Dell replaced my M1530 for faulty screen, hard drive, motherboard 2 times, had Dell come out 2 times to replace the thermal pads. At the end got on the phone and had a long conversation with a Dell Rep and had my laptop replaced for xps 16. If you are having problems playing Starcraft 2 on a M1530, than you really can't do much. I tried everything to get it playable but it gets unplayable after 10 mins. I couldn't believe my M1330 with a Geforce 8400 was able to play Starcraft 2 smooth on low, but the beeping M1530 with a better vid and more ram couldn't. Sorry to say you are out of luck.
