I have the m'08 and it works fine with the xps 1340 but it does not plug in flush with the express card slot. wondering if the m'09 does?

    I don't know, XPS 1645 documentation makes reference to a 1647, that's all I know.

Regarding the remote controls, the one Dell sent me for XPS 1645 is model number nu851, and that's what you will get if you order the XPS 13 Travel Remote. Go for it.

I think someone on here mentioned that the 1647 would be available with the new dual core i5 processors launched next year.

I've no idea if that is correct just what I read on here.

I think that was me, it was listed in the manual addendum that come with my 1645, also mentioned Core i3. I think there are also dual core i7s too though. Intel's branding is so confusing.
