I guess I have a pretty basic question. Does the studio xps 1647 have an infrared sensor?
The reason I am asking is because I am trying to connect a wiiremote controller to my laptop but when you use it on an actual Nintendo wii you need an infrared sensor bar.
thanks

Yeah it does, it's on the front.
Used mostly for the travel remote, so I'm not sure if it's good enough for a Wii remote? Seeing as they require quite a large sensor I think...
What do you need to use your wii remote on your laptop for anyway?! They're meant for Wii's! -
As kezuk12 stated, there is a sensor/receiver on the front and it is mainly for the travel remote. You won't be able utilize the IR receiver/sensor at all for the Wii Remote though. The sensor bar for the Wii is not really a sensor at all. It is just a set of infrared lights at the ends. The Wii Remote actually does the sensing. (In fact, you can even use candles as your sensor bar.) Also, if you want to use the Wii Remote with a computer, you will need to get Bluetooth since that is how it connects. There are plenty of documentation on the web of how the Wii Remote/Sensor bar works as well as how to use the Wii Remote with a computer. I suggest searching and reading up on them...
