    Hello,
It would be great if anyone could help me. What is the difference between inspirons (1720, 17") and XPS m1530 (15") model? I mean if both have the same specs, except fot different screen size, what is the difference between the two and how will it reflect on gaming performance?

    Regards,
    Grishka

The xps will be better because the 8600gt in it is ddr3 where as in the 1720 it is ddr2. Otherwise the would be the same.

xps has a much better build than the inspiron line. Also as mentioned above, the 8600GT DDR3 is a gaming advantage.

Yea, as said above. The Dell XPSs offer more high performance upgrades than Inspiron 1720 though. The XPS is also very nice and well built; not that Inspiron 1720 isn't, but it's just a bunch of silver with a coloured lid... I had a tough choice between the two, but I chose the XPS M1530 in the end and haven't regretted my purchase... (I'm running Crysis very well on med/high in my pic)...
