Title does not fully ask what i am trying to ask.

Iin the future if i decide to get an SSD, i want to know if i need a new copy of windows 7.

I heard the OEM version sorta saves the MOBO into the CD-KEY(Preventing you from using it on other computers).

Will i be able to install it on a SSD in the future without any problems?

I recieved my system, immediately did a fresh format, and bought an SSD a month or two later. No problems reinstalling again then. The OEM disc allots for you wanting to clean format once in a while.

Now, what you might have heard is that Dell OEM Windows discs look for something in the BIOS/mobo that only allows it to work on Dell systems. This in fact is true, or at least used to be.

It should be fine as long as the motherboard is still the same model.
