I am planning on getting an XPS m1530. I am trying to get it for as cheap as possible at the start as it's hard to pay for it all at once (yes I know about DPA but meh). So I was looking around for other insurance companies and found this:

    www.safeware.com

It looks nice, covers accidental damage and theft, anyone use this/know if it's good/have any alternatives?

I'd personally just go with the dell warranty (complete care) so you know it will always hold up.

http://www.studentinsurancepartners.com/ offers $2,000 insurance including accidental damage and theft for $60 a year with a $25 deductible.

It also covers a few other things... "Your policy will also cover your computer’s accessories such as: printer, scanner, webcam, 10-Key, mouse, keyboard, speakers, headphones, flash drive, zip drive, software. In addition to your laptop/desktop computer your policy will also cover the following items: cell phone, iPod, digital camera, MP3 player, PDA (palm pilot), musical instruments, and calculators."

I really need coverage for my iPod anyways (the "natural" or whatever warranty expires in two months or so and to get a new one would be like $60...). Sounds good to me... =)

EDIT: Didn't catch that they cover cell phones too... WOW this plan is amazing! In May my Blackberry Pearl was stolen... Now I have a mega-cheapo phone, but may buy another Pearl soon, heh, that is also a good thing to be included.
