I have a query about the titled soft/hardware. Firstly, which is it? Is it simply software, or is additional hardware required to run it?

Has anyone had a chance to compare the normal sound with this package, to see if there's much difference? I hear this allows EAX, which I would really like. I'm just not sure what exactly it is! :) Thanks for any help

It's software and not worth it.

I want it for EAX only =-( It annoys me when games tell me I can't run EAX >.< Does anyone know of a free way to enable EAX on the M1730?

Again though, looking for a way to enable EAX during games =-( I'll end up paying for that software if I have to, I'd rather not though if there's a free solution available.

Better you pay for a external sound card than buying a poor software.

Are there any decent internal cards I can install on the M1730? Of course, that will enable EAX. How difficult is replacing the Sound Card - I've never changed hardware in this beast before =-P

There are no internal sound cards available for M1730. Only external sound cards (like I said above). You can try a express card X-Fi if you don't want more wires... It has EAX effects.

    Thanks for the reply TimeWriter.

Hm...I'll have to see. Don't really want a sound card hanging out of my computer =-P

Is there a PCMCIA option available? My PCMCIA is only being used for the Dell Remote at the minute, which I don't use often =-/

Edit: Learn something new every day! I didn't realise PCMCIA was different from ExpressCard. I change my question: Is there a ExpressCard sound card with EAX available?
