Coming out of sleep mode, it takes about 4 or 5 minutes before the WiFi signal establishes a connection on my wireless N home network. During this time, I can see the available wireless network but clicking on it does not reduce the wait time. Once established, the signal is strong and steady, but it is a little frustrating having to wait so long every time.
My power options are set to high performance, and Maximum Performance on the wireless adapter settings power saving mode.
I am not using the Intel My WiFi Technology software
Any suggestions on how to reduce the time to acquire the connection after waking up from sleep mode?

maybe, just maybe you set the router to wireless N only, set it to default a/b/g/n .

No, that's not it because we have several other wifi gadgets and laptops on the same netowork that are wifi-g devices. They all acquire connection right away by the way.
Thanks for suggestion though. -
You say you're not using the intel connection program, but are you at least using the intel drivers instead of the microsoft default ones? I think the newest intel driver version is 13.3.0.24 (you can install just the driver without using their connection program). That may help. http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=19302&ProdId=3200&lang=eng

Thanks for the tip. Followed the link and updated the driver, but it told me I already am using the latest driver. Any other ideas?
