I bought an Intel 6205 wifi card for my M1330, to replace the 4965AGN, as it was making the laptop uncomfortably hot, and I was under the impression it would work, since the M1330 supposedly works with any wifi card, but after trying various different drivers, all I get is "The device cannot start (Code 10)"

Any idea why this is happening?

The overheating problem won't be your wireless network card but your main cooling heatsink. Buy two copper shims for the M1330 on eBay and get a tube of Arctic Silver paste. remove the hearsink and fans (five serews) and clean all the gunk out of the heatsink and fan. Remove the old heat conductive pads - they are a bit like blue-tack. Only use the copper shims on the video chip and I/o chip -NOT THE CPU. Only use the arctic silver paste very sparingly - only a very thin smear on each surface.

Put the laptop back together and presto a cool running laptop.
