So I received my XPS 15z and overall I'm happy with the system but one thing is infuriating me to no end, it's constantly having connectivity issues, and weak signal strength. I'd think maybe it's my router, but I have it sitting right next to my SXPS 1645 with an Intel 5300 and that has no connectivity issues. Right next to each other the XPS15z will fluctuate between 1 bar and 3 while the 1645 with the 5300 will stay stable at 3-4 bars. Also the speed is far lower on the 6230 where the 5300 is at or near 300mbps the 6230 has never even displayed that number or close to it unless I'm right next to my router, even when I am though I have connectivity issues. It doesn't lose the signal or disconnect i simply cannot access websites, and this occurs with a maddening frequency. My router is a dual band simultaneous router so one network is on the 5ghz spectrum and the other is on the 2.4ghz. I've tried both and they both experience the same issues. I am running the newest drivers from dell/intel. They came pre-installed on the 15z I thought maybe they were not installed properly so I removed them and re-installed them the issue persisted. I did however just upgrade my router's firmware, so we'll see if this helps at all but I'm not holding my breath. Anyone else dealing/dealt with this? Any help/suggestions for me out there?

    Things I've already done
    1. Uninstalled/reinstalled drivers
    2. Edited power plan settings for the wireless card
    3. Moved closer to my router -_-

Thanks. I tried doing what was mentioned in that thread. I removed the wifi/proset/driver in normal mode of windows 7, then I removed the bluetooth driver as well. Then I installed the driver package from the intel site while I was in safe mode with no networking enabled. The signal strength is still pretty weak and so is the speed currently at 13mbps, but it does seem to stay connected. I'll need to use it for a while longer to see if anything has really changed. Thanks for the link.

You mean when I ping my own IP address or the one the router has assigned for WAN? I pinged my own and it was >1ms when I pinged the router's external IP it was an average of 3ms latency.
