I have the Intel 4965AGN wireless adapter in my XPS 1530. When I wake the system up, it take a considerable amount of time, like 30-50 seconds before I'm able to connect to the internet. Is this normal for this adapter or is there something I can do to speed this process up?

Vista? SP1 is supposed to increase performance in this area.

I'm running vista sp1. Thought there might be a new driver for this adapter, but shows I'm using the latest driver. I have an Intel card in my older Inspiron 6000 and don't have this problem. Maybe it is a problem with this particular adapter. Sure wish Intel would provide a fix for it, wishful thinking on my part.

I didn't have to update the driver, SP1 just seemed to speed up the cards ability to find my network and connect to it. Before SP1 it took forever for it to find any wireless networks and then connect. Perhaps you could uninstall and reinstall the driver now that you have SP1 installed.

I don't have a problem of this devise finding a network, it is that it is just so slow when computer resumes from sleep. Driver number is 11.5.0.32
