Thanks to a post by PDSway, I got the Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 Advanced Wireless Card working fine with the Windows 7 64-bit 13.0 drivers on my XPS 1340.

Has anyone been able to successfully install the Intel Centrino Ultimate-N 6300 Advanced Wireless Card 13.1.1.1 drivers for Windows 7 64-bit? I get an error code saying it couldn't find the digital signature for the driver.

    Thanks for the replies!

P.S. Does anyone have contact info for Intel to let them know about this problem?

Any noticeable performance improvements over the Dell 1520 or Intel 5300?

Unscientifically, this Intel WiFi card latches on to my work's very poor WiFi signal very well. I got an extra 1-2 bars of signal strength, whatever that means. Previously, I was at 1 bar, and marginally 2 bars with the Dell 1510 (Broadcom) WiFi I previously had.

Still looking for a solution to the 3.1.1.1 driver issue.

Same card here and drivers work just fine. My guess is that your computer is misconfigured or the driver is corrupt/modified and that is the cause of your error.

What's the problem you're having? Install it into the proper MINI-PCIe port (usually the one with the previous WiFi card or marked "WLAN") and it should work. Driver wise, the first poster had an issue with the digital signature on the driver package which actually sounds like it was altered, corrupted, or a beta/alpha file. Download the latest driver direct from Intel's support site and there shouldn't be a message like that. If you still get that after downloading a fresh unaltered / complete file directly from Intel, there could be a problem somewhere in Windows, possibly with the crypto service or some part of your encryption/certificate database. For example, the problem can arise if you disable necessary Windows services through tweaking or extensive customization, hard drive corruption, missing files/certificates, screwed up security settings/etc.

I got the driver issue too, but that was the least of my problems...

i replaced my stock dell half mini card 1510 or whatever with the 6300, tried both wireless card spots, i couldn't get the driver fully installed without the computer completely freezing, forcing me to reboot, and after that, the driver would be installed with errors and disabled. upon enabling it, the computer would freeze once again, forcing me to reboot. i tried all the different drivers on Intel's website, including the individual divers and the driver+software. I tried dell tech support, and he kept getting frozen as well. He was looking in the the specific system resources being used, but couldn't find any issues there.

I'm having the same issues with my XPS 1340. Just bought the same Ultimate-N 6300 card, using Windows 7 64, fresh drivers directly from Intel. Everytime i start installing the driver, the system freezes. I managed to install it on safe mode, but now, everytime the wireless is started by pressing the hardware button, the system freezes. Any clues?

Did you mistakenly purchase an Intel 6300 card designed for an HP or IBM computer? They are modified at the hardware level and for some stupid reason do not work in any other brand laptops except those. Also if you got a counterfeit 6300 card off ebay that is fake or an engineering sample, this could also be the cause of your issues.

Wow, I was having the same issue with an Intel 5x00 or an 6x00 card (it's been a while, I forget what it was). My 1340 would just freeze right when windows started loading. I just assumed that the Nvidia chipset didn't like the card. Though the card ended up in some Dell Precision laptop, where it's been working great.
