I bought a second hand M1330 on ebay with the intel graphics. I can't seem to get a driver installed no matter which one I use. I've tried both Vista and Windows 7 but in both cases when I'm trying to install the drivers, I get an error message saying

The computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.

    Setup with exit.

I've tried both drivers from the intel site as well as the dell site but no luck. Any ideas?

Uninstall the current driver first. Otherwise, download GPU-z or Everest and find out what GPU it is.

I know what GPU it is. It's the intel X3100. Uninstalling doesn't do anything since Windows just auto installs the 'Standard VGA Adapter' driver.

Download GPU-z or Everest or some hardware program and find out what GPU it is.

They already know whats in the laptop.
bboy1 which drivers can't you install my friend?
Also which drivers have not been installed look in device manager and report back.
PS:Try installing drivers with Admin rights..
If you want to install video drivers go into its properties and select update drivers or you can uninstall drivers and delete from there on install new drivers. ;)

    Omg I have the 8400M..

The seller I bought it off told me it was the intel which is what I wanted.

I checked GPUz but it didn't tell me anything since there was no driver installed so I just took the seller's word..

But because the intel drivers weren't working I gave an 8400m driver a shot and voila, I have the 8400m. Great, now I gotta return it. I don't want the 8400m cause I know it won't last long before it fails.

    Thanks for the help anyway

If you windows fully windows update this will slove the problem.

i beleve installs intel require you to have .net sp3 and other windows update install to work/install.

    Silly.
