I have just finished installing my vista ultimate with sp2. i have been trying to install the latest version of Intel Matrix storage manager but amazingly found that the .exe file is not executing. is this for sp2 installed or something wrong happened with my laptop. google talk has also stopped working.

try doing a sys restore to b4 you tried the install. Don't worry about updating unless you have a specific reason or it shows up in Windows update. Newer isn't always better............

Also try changing the .exe to compatibility mode for SP1/Vista. A few programs don't run properly in SP2 with compatibility issues - I had this issue with a few Windows 7 softwares - Running in Vista SP2 wouldn't work, SP1 would =-P
