I am thinking about buying Robson modul 2 or 4 GB, but I am confused about compatibility on PM965 chipset.

    In here:
    http://www.intel.com/support/chipsets/itm/sb/CS-026009.htm

it is, that on ICH8M/ICH8M can be usen only 1GB or 512 MB

In firt case it is fixed to RAID/ACHI controller tupe

    and

In second case it is fixed to chipset family?

    So how is it?
Has anybody 2 or 4GB or has heard about it on PM965?

You've seen this posting and know already it works:

Meanwhile we have more reports on successful installations. M1330 as well as M1530.

Only 4GB module supports user pinning!

Applies to original 1GB turbo memory module. The recent 4GB module with user pinning is much more powerful and useful.

However before going 4GB SSD you might consider 4GB main memory fist. In the general case main memory is more useful.
