My Dell XPS L501x is a two year old laptop. It has been experiencing graphics problems for some months now. I somehow uninstalled the intel graphics driver and when i'm trying to reinstall it, what gets installed is the turbo boost technology driver. And if i install that one anyway, my turbo boost technology (2.0) won't work and i'll only have a maximum of 1.73Ghz. I'm not sure if the Intel graphics driver and the old turbo boost technolgy driver is the same. Anyway, i'm not getting both at the same time. Its either the graphics driver or the turbo boost. So any ideas? Please help.![]()

Something must be wrong here.
There is no "turbo boost technology driver". Turbo boost does not need a driver to function. It sounds like you are downloading a turbo boost MONITOR which just tells you processor speed. Also, your laptop doesnt have turbo boost technology 2.0, thats only for sandybridge CPUs or L502x.
Anyways, the driver you're looking for should be this one: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Detail_Desc.aspx?agr=Y&DwnldID=21776&ProdId=3231&lang=eng -
i know there is no turbo bost technology driver, but when i install the intel graphics driver as i said, what comes is a window saying ' welcome to intel turbo boost technology setup'.

What processor have you got?
-
Intel Core i7 Q740 @1.73Ghz !st Generation.

I did what you asked. But the results are the same.

There is no integrated graphics on Intel Core i7-740QM. All you need is the motherboard chipset driver from Intel and the nVidia driver (for your geforce GT 435M).
-
But before I cleaned the system, there was an intel driver under the display drivers tab in device manager. I just want to get that back. This thing is heating up like hell.
