Thanks! Updated.
Does anyone else get insanely frustrated with how terribly designed Intel's page is? How many times do I have to click the dang download link before you'll actually *download* what it is I'm trying to get? Yeesh!

Among the Known Issues:
For reference, this was my experience with my 1645 and the 5300 card: Linksys Forum Post -
I have a Linksys Router WRT54G and I have been using this driver (13.1.1.1) for a couple of days now with-out any problems at all. The internet and downloads have been very fast for me, works just fine.
I have the SXPS 1645 and the 5300 wireless card. -
Thank you for your input, but the issue that I've experienced is related to N, not G.
Restricting my router to G or switching back to my old Linksys WRT54Gv2 works reliably, but that's kind of silly given that the 5300 supports N. -
Driver 13.1.1.1 works great for me using a linksys wrt610n at full speeds 300Mbps.
-
I have the lower end WRT160N, so I still have my doubts. Hopefully it'll work better than expected!

This new driver fixed a problem I had; I used to have to uninstall and then reinstall my wireless card everytime I wanted to connect to my home router everytime I turned off my laptop. Now, all is well!

Another question would be, have you tried DD-WRT as firmware?
Since I bought this router I have been experiencing quite a lot of problems with the original firmware. Mostly - the router self-restarted very frequently. Now it is much stable when using dd-wrt.
Thanks

I installed these drivers but haven't changed the router Radio Band back to Auto (which would allow 40Hz and should get me around 270 Mbps rather than the 130 Mbps I'm getting with 20Hz), so I don't know if it's been fixed. My connection at 20Hz/130 Mbps has been stable and reliable, so I haven't wanted to mess with it.
I described my problem in depth here.
I looked briefly into the DD-WRT firmware. Have you been able to reach 270-300 Mbps with your router? Or is your current WiFi card incapable of that?
I'm VERY curious to hear of your results after upgrading to the Intel 5300 -
Currently I am using Dell Wireless 1520 (which is manufactured by Broadband) which supports N.
So far I haven't tried it with dd-wrt and 40Hz, but will do later. But I tried it with another dual band Netgear router (can't recall the model) and managed to connect on 270 Mbps.
With the original firmware of the wrt160n v3 when connection is set at auto (so the channels), I had many problems connecting to it. The whole router was restarting quite often. I also had these connections problem with the Netgear.
With the dd-wrt the router is much more stable, but yet I have not played around with the Radio Band and Chanels. Currently it is set to 20Hz and I have stable 130Mbps connection.
Once I receive the 5300 one, I will to the same tests. Will get back to you with results.

Firs result from 1520 with no disconnects yet:
But to achieve this I had to adjust the Bandwidth Capability of the wireless card:
But note, this speed is not that constant. Sometimes it drops to 270, 240, 216. Even once to 54 but for 2-3 seconds. When at 20Hz and 130Mbps the speed seems much more constant.
Those are the settings within dd-wrt:
Once I receive the 5300 will try it as well and provide you with results.

Thank you

Thanks for the update for this wireless card..

For few days already, the router (wrt160n) has been quite stable with dd-wrt. But I had some problems with speed. In order to resolve them, I strongly advice these articles:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/wiki/index.php/Wireless-N_Configuration
and for 5300 users:
http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=67836&highlight=5300
Still, I haven't received the 5300 wi-fi and have no feedback about it.
