My headphones work when they're plugged in, but the built-in speakers on my SXPS 1645 do not work. I checked the volume settings and nothing is muted. My drivers are up-to-date. I did the Factory Image Restore twice and nothing changed. For some reason, the speakers work in the BIOS, but not in Windows. A technician also came over to replace the speakers, but the issue remains. Any helpful suggestion would really be appreciated.

    1. Try going from control panel to sound and making sure that the speakers are set as the default device and enabled.
If they're not shown on the list with ATI HDMI Output and Independent Headphones then right click in the empty space and check 'show disabled devices'.

    2. Try going into IDT Audio Control Panel and pressing the Enabled or Headphones buttons below the SRS logo. That worked for me one time the speakers stopped working.

    Hope this helps!
