    Registry Key
    "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Dell\Media Direct\PathName"

    will be your friend.

If you change that, would it still boot into MediaDirect when you hit the MediaDirect button while the system is off?

I don't think so. Once you remap (there was a thread here about this) I think it stays till you change it back to whatever.

Probably you could log on to mozilla without booting up and start browsing notebook review forums... ;-) :p :p and post temperatures like 10 or 20 C!!!!

    Yes it will.

Except: If your MediaDirect installation is already broken. A broken MediaDirect installation boots up your "normal" Windows and then launches MD application.
