Hello everyone, I'm thinking of upgrading my P9500 (2.53GHz 1066FBS 25W) to T9900 (3.06GHz 1066GHz 35W) but I'm not sure yet if it is a good idea?

These are the few questions I would like to ask:
    1) Will it fit on SXPX 1340 (socket P)?
    2) Wont the T9900 cause some heat issues?
    3) Will there be a noticeable speed improvement? If yes, on which application? (I'm looking to improve my date transfer, open/cose folders&browsers, boot/shut down times)
    4) Which upgrade will be better, P9500 -> T9900 or HDD -> SSD?

    Thanks in advance!

You will notice the faster CPU when editing and converting videos. But the difference will be small.

An SSD will provide a very noticable speed improvement (2x-3x) in the following areas:

    • boot/shutdown time
    • loading/closing applications
    • copying files
