i would say go for it. But keep your proof of purchase well in case your gpu dies, because the 8600m gt is flawed piece of hardware.
-
Thats a great deal! I would go ahead and order a larger hard drive though as that is pretty small especially if you play games. You can get one cheap from NewEgg or other online sites.
-
Thanks, hard drives are cheap so I'm not worried about that.
About the 8600gt, I thought they fixed that problem by now. -
ive had the 8600 GT in my vostro 1700 for almost 2 years now and it hasnt failed me yet
or was it just a problem in the XPS machines? -
I say go for it!
That's a good price!
I have the 1530, it's an excellent lappy...And, I have the 8600 GPU...for well over 1.5 years..and have had 0 problems. If, you do run into problems, you have a warranty, and the extended 1 year warranty that covers the GPU.
Just enjoy the 1530!! and grat's...Welcome to the family!
Also, I wouldn't necessarily say its a *flawed piece of hardware*..mine hasn't failed on my 1530 yet!~ And, that go's the same for many 1530 owners!
Cin -
extended? a free extra year on the gpu?
-
yup 2 years warranty for your gpu
Is this a good deal? M1530
