if youre going to college, you may be eligible to purchase from the Dell EPP website.
They have a bundled system equivalent to yours but for less.

Is there any more feedback? Obviously ^^^that deal passed and I dont think i can get into the EPP even with college. Is there a better portable notebook I could get (besides HPs) for around the same cost.

You can go, if your college has a partnership with dell.
My College does , So I received a 8% discount on a loaded package :)

its a good deal if ur not looking for extended warranty.
i'm in the same situation, with the 25% off, its cheaper than my school's bundle
even w/ 4 yrs of accidental protection. buy it.

wow i feel really dumb, i paid 1950 with tax on Sunday for an M1330, with basically the same specs as the original poster except a 320gb hd, a T9300, and a 3 year accident warranty.

The slickdeal link doesnt work now (forum says dells servers are down) but does anyone know how i can cancel the order i made on sunday and get this one (if it comes up again)?

^I think I read that other people in this forum canceled their order but sorry i dont know how, you would probably need to contact dell.
I used the coupon code 0$?X8RJ0$G3XLB for 25% off. I calculated it out and you can get the same computer you ordered for $1423. A T9300 is much better than an 8300 so if you can spend the money get that. So even if you cant get that deal on slickdeal you should cancel that order (if you can)

the 25% off coupon ends Wednesday so act quickly.

I think I might get http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16834117791 since it has the new montavina processor and much better battery life (~6 hours instead of 3.5 on the xps).

that coupon doesnt stack with the other discounts, and i cant use my school's EPP discount with it. Every time i look to do something on the dell site (that isnt something from one of those saver sites), it turns out that i got the best deal, but then I look on the forums and it seems that I didn't. I think I'm just gonna keep my configuration and let bygons be bygons, I don't think theres really any way to get it for less (seeing as that site linked in the earlier posts isnt working, that coupon doesnt stack, and i would need to cancel soon and order fast for it to ship in time).

edit: on the reviews on this site for the 9-cell M1330, the battery life was listed at 5 to 6 hours, which is fine for me

I'd dump the bluetooth and get the regular integrated sound instead of the Soundblaster one and get the 256mb 8600M GT DDR3 card over the 8400 GS
