Everything is good except for the processor technology and speed. T5000 series are abit slow. Get T8000 series instead. Have better system performance, power efficiency, and multimedia performance. And is it 2.6kg? Seems quite heavy for me though.

Well since I am going to college soon, I will be using the laptop to for word processing. I will also be using the laptop to watch movies and listen to music. I also plan on using the laptop to play some games, such as the orange box, call of duty 4.

    Hi ricrob,

I agree with hahafwkit ... everything looks good ... but if you can afford another $175 get the T8300 processor (T2.4GHz) and you don't have to worry about upgrading for a long while. I was going to suggest T8100 (2.1GHz) ... but I just checked Dell's website and for some reason they are not offering it on XPS ... so if you have to upgrade T8300 is it. But $175 plus Tax ... is pretty good chunk of moola ... so!!!

BTW, if you are "ONLY" watching movies and not doing any Video work ... the T5750 is more than enough ... even if you are doing Video work and you have "Patience" ... it should be just fine ... we are talking about 5 or 9 minutes time difference in your Video work for a DVD-5 size project.

    Hope this helps!

    G! :)
