I still have a chance to cancel my order and get a better deal.

Did you use a discount coupon?

    Thanks!

Did you order online or through a sales rep? Generally calling sales might be able to fetch you a better deal.

I called my sales rep earlier and was told its the best deal he can do - BS? I'll never know.

At this point, order is still in. If I don't get any specifics on how to lower the price or discount coupons in the next few days, I guess I'll just have to eat up the cost :). Oh well, should have signed up here before I ordered. :)

You may want to upgrade the RAM yourself. You could also save on going with Vista Home Premium.

I had a lot of trouble with the Dell sales reps when I was first ordering my M1530. Long story short, they ended up screwing up my order, and I had to wait for a new deal to come around. Although I was really mad at first, in the end, I got a much better computer for an incredible price. I would say wait it out. They offered a 40% off deal when I bought mine. I'm sure that'll come around again.
