with the lg... lower your brightness to around 42 bring the contrast to about 55 and drop the saturation some in the video color settings...
ill post better settings for you when i get home this will correct most of the issues while watching movies. -

You need to take a picture of your screen but that might not be visible/accurate.
Best way to tell is by seeing in person. If you are not comfortable with your screen, contact Dell for replacement. -
If that's just a print screen, then the problems evident in that picture aren't caused by your LCD screen (print screens just show what the video card is outputting to the screen and not what's actually displayed). I'm guessing they're artifacts resulting from video compression, as those become very noticeable in dark colors.
