mmm, I dont see anything unusual at that image, also, as far I know you cant take a pic of a dead pixel with any software since the issue is on the screen itself and not at the image output.
you will need to take a camera and take a pic of your screen on the affected area
but relating what you said, when you get a dead pixel, it is allways there, it doesnt matter what app you use, it is allways there,at the bios, operative system, desktop, games, videos ...., or whatever you output to the screen.
sometimes it get only visible while outputting some colors, but most of times it just get stuck into one color, generally black or pink, I think it depends from a lot of things. -
That's what happens when a high-res grid is downscaled to a lower resolution.

If you think you have a dead pixel, try massaging it. I had one possibly frozen pixel on my new Dell XPS15: it was stuck on bright green. Using a microfibre cloth I gently but firmly massaged it for a few seconds, and it became unstuck and now works normally.

I remember first time I noticed a dead pixel at my screen I became mad trying everything to get the problem away, but nothing worked >-<
same history for vertical dead lines at the screen, didnt had any luck trying to get it away, tried also to massaging the ribbon cable internally connected to the lcd but sadly no changes at the image.
I have a old homemade portable device I made some time ago as a hoobie, one day a vertical line suddenly appeared at the screen, and I am thinking to replace the whole screen just cause that. -
If the pixel is truly dead, then that technique wouldn't work. If it's just sort of stuck, then it may. It's worth trying, as it takes only a few seconds.
Is this dead pixel?
