Not sure what it's called, but the shiny silver lip that's on the top of my notebook lid feels a little on the flimsy side. Not super flimsy, but it moves just a tiny bit when I press on it. Am I not supposed to be opening the lid with this lip?

Hey, I use that *silver lip* to open my 1530... ;) For me it is solid, and not *loose*, nor *flimsy* at all. And, yes it's used as leverage to help you open the notebook with ease ;) :) I don't think it should be moving like that...It it is bothersome, you should call Dell and they will advise on the fix... ;) :)

    Good luck :)

Ya mines perfectly solid while opening the lid. But if you try to move it around, it will. During normal opening/closing of the lid it doesn't move at all.
